With The Great Reserve you can buy carbon by the tonne or per tree. A Sequoia Carbon tonne is a unit of CO2 stored in The Great Reserve forests, sequestered by our Giant Sequoia trees.

Sequoia Carbon is unique in its dual purpose. Carbon capture for climate change impact and the protection of an endangered species.
Our focus is effective carbon sequestration and the maintenance and protection of our Giant Sequoias, with careful adherence to our forestry code.
The Sequoia Carbon Code
It’s a science backed framework for forecasting the capture of carbon by Giant Sequoia trees in the UK. The SCC is a voluntary code, specifying the commitments we make to ensure effective carbon sequester rates and the maintenance and protection of our Giant Sequoia trees in the UK.

Carbon Certification
Our carbon is accredited and certified by the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council). This accreditation covers carbon sequestration and carbon storage within the Giant Sequoias.
Our site at Abergavenny also holds the FSC forest management certification demonstrating that we comply with world leading standards for responsible forest management.
Carbon Reporting
& Verification
Our project carbon reporting is performed by Treeconomy’s Sherwood Platform using a combination of drone and satellite images with LIDAR scans for individual tree carbon storage data.
Pricing
Our Sequoia Carbon is priced from £10 per tonne. The EU carbon market prices per tonne at closer to £45 per tonne. Our Sequoias provide one of the most affordable natural solutions in the market, while also being one of the most durable offsets, and to add to that you are welcome to come and plant Sequoia trees in person at no additional cost.
